About Lake Grace Saltbush Inn Motel

Our motel is located in the town of Lake Grace, in the Eastern Wheatbelt region of Western Australia, 347 kilometres East from Perth. Nearby towns include Hyden (Wave Rock) and Newdegate. You can pass through our town whilst on route to Albany and Esperance, making us an ideal place to stop on the way and enjoy what we have to offer.

Our family owned and operated Motel was founded in 2002 and we pride ourselves on providing our guests with affordable, comfortable accommodation and going that extra mile to ensure your stay is an enjoyable one.

Our property is well maintained and rooms are always impeccably cleaned before your arrival, as well as daily during your stay. We don’t do daily cleans unless it is requested as we value people’s privacy, They rent that space as their own little home away from home, So cleans on a daily basis is by request & not on a daily basis..
Rooms are fully cleaned when guests leave ready for the next guest’s stay…
Rosie’s Cafe & Bakery can deliver evening meals & lunches for following days as per there menu as long it is ordered before 4-30pm..
Rosie’s is also open from 7am for a hot breakfast during weekdays & 8am on weekends..

The Saltbush Inn has everything you need when you’re staying in Lake Grace. Comfy beds. Fresh towels. Close to everything. Steamy hot showers. A friendly host. And best of all. Warm rooms. We were out all day and came back to a not icy cold room even without any heating on. So we will definitely be back.

I have stayed here a number of times whilst travelling with work. Ollie the owner is extremely welcoming and it is always a great stay. The rooms are nice and clean and have everything that you need. The motel is not new, but the rooms have been tastefully decorated inside and comfortable. Continental breakfast can be arranged and is delivered to your room the night before. You can grab a pre-prepared meal at the roadhouse and heat it up in the microwave in the room if you can’t be bothered heading to the pub.  It’s great to stay at a place where the owner takes pride in what he does and goes that extra mile to help you out and make your stay as pleasant as possible.  I look forward to my next visit.

Stayed at Saltbush Inn Lake Grace, the room was warm, clean with extra pillows & blanket. Tea & coffee facilities. We were greater with smiles & warmth, thank you guys. Will stay again next time we are on a road trip.

Ollie warmly greeted us to this well cared for accomodation. We rang ahead and chose a larger self contained unit a cross from the original motel wing. We slept well in very comfortable beds. The warm brick faced interior was clean and homely. We were very pleasantly surprised when Ollie showed us the motel units when leaving. He had put a lot of effort and thought into upgrading them, including a unit with features for those who are disabled. Next time we would probably book one of these units as they were cheerful with bright homely touches!

The Saltbush Inn is conveniently located in a quiet part of Lake Grace, away from the main highway. I stayed in a 2 bed self contained apartment, parking in front of the unit, small lounge with sofa and tv plus table and chairs. Beds are comfortable and there is a separate laundry leading to a small backyard. The motel appears to have been built in the 1980’s but is well maintained, rooms are regularly cleaned and the motel owner is very friendly and helpful. Tarifs are quite reasonable. I would stay there again on my next visit.

We were pleasantly surprised to stay in a very modern, well appointed and comfortable room. The exterior is dated but don’t be deterred. For our whole WA trip this was the only room which provided a microwave. Meeting Ollie the proprietor was another highlight. Like WAVE Rock this area has limited mobile phone reception.
